I have been over at Teds Corner most of the afternoon having a bit of tidy up. Although I love roses they do tend to make a mess once the petals start to fall. I ended up with a good sack-full of petals by the time I had finished. The veg I planted from seed is all stating to grow and the peas are getting some flower on them. The spuds are growing well but no flower on them yet. Last year they didn’t get any flower they just died back, but we still had lots of potatoes. As well as the spring onion in baskets I’m trying some container carrots this year. It’s an experiment to see if they are worth growing.

Everything is looking green over at Teds Corner but there is not a lot of colour yet, apart from the roses and pansies.
The clematis black prince is starting to form buds, and I have one small rose out on Warm Welcome.
If you remember I planted this rose as a reminder of the warm welcome I received from Goy members. I will take some more Pic’s when the clem is in bloom and hopefully by then some of my spuds will be ready Yum!

View looking down onto the pergola, its the best way to see the rose Masquerade

It is not a repeat flowering rose but I like the way it changes colour.

one little welcome!

flower on the peas, first time I have attempted peas fingers crossed.

Thanks Karen, did you see I had two little wisteria on the small plant I put in this year. I was so pleased it bodes well for when it gets established. Tika and Cuaster (neighbors cats) often join me over at Teds Corner. It can be a real fight keeping them of my veg plots. I have to resort to all manner of wire contraptions until the veg get growing LOL.

I am very impressed with all your veggie baskets, Teds, they are all looking extremely good. Did you grow them all from seed yourself. Your garden as a whole is very pretty. Well done

Yes Cinderrella I started everything off in my potting shed. Considering Teds Corner used to be the spare car parking spot it's taken well to being turned into a garden. It's surprising what you can grow in a small space. Hubby is looking nervous through as I keep eyeing up his parking plot. LOL

Hi Teds - Good work - Teds Corner looks so inviting now.
You'll certainly have a lot of veggies this year, especially carrots - is that so you can see better to do your garden in the dark - Ha Ha :)

Mariek, I could do with sum better eye sight, but I grow a lot of carrot as my OH loves to sit at night in front of the TV with a plate of carrots. Its like living with a donkey Crunch chomp crunch! lol

This lovely, Teds, the rose 'Masquerade' is so pretty, the carrots in hanging baskets is a great idea and I'm another one who loves those wicker baskets. All looking great. Did you manage to read that ok, over the crunching sounds from your OH ... lol! : o )

We have quite a nice size of parking drive. I wonder what OH would make of it if he came home one day to find I had requisitioned half of it! lol

Ted's corner is looking wonderful and abundant in green growing things :) I hope you get lots of veg this summer and autumn :)

Yummy veggies on the way....everything is thriving. It would never occur to me that so many veggies could be grown in wicker baskets. I must remember this for a future project....maybe next year :)

Ted's corner is really looking so full and tweeked to perfection....good use of space.

Karen Paul (OH) always side it was a slippery slope as soon as the first pot went out on the car port. You have such a lovely big garden that I don't think you will need to use you drive (YET) LOL

Jennyfer I do love my veg especially the new spuds I keep looking to see if they are big enough to eat, but it's going to be a good few weeks before they are ready.

Shirley It is supersizing how annoying it can be bless him, especially if you get to a quite part in a film. It's very hard trying to eat a crunchy carrot quietly.

Thank you for your kind words WL about Yogi and my garden. Did you get my message about the rose Compassion David Austin has some. Just type in David Austin Roses and it should bring up the web site. Good like with the hunt.

Now that is one very luscious looking parking lot, I love all your baskets and especially the wicker bed with the peas and beans, I must show my daughter, she now has only a small garden but still wants to grow her veg as well as having an attractive garden.
Lovely photo`s, Teds...

Hi Lin, I think the Posh word is a Potage when you grow veg and flowers together. You can get a lot of ornamental veg too! which are just as good to eat. Most things will do well in containers as long as you keep them fed and watered.

Looking very nice Teds - your beans are doing very well - lovely designed and so tidy too - love how you laid your table out Teds

Sorry, Teds....I did get your message about David Austin's Compassion rose...slipped up there if I didn't respond :(

I did look at the time but did consider the shipping charges and hadn't decided whether to wait until I can get it locally at Fryer's (a day out!...lol...and I've not visited that garden centre before). I'll be sure to get that rose, one way or another :) Thanks for your tip.

Lovely blog and photos:)

Hehee, the carrot crunching made me giggle! :)

WL I think I would go for the day out, the cost of shipping would bye you two plants instead of the one. You get a day out too! a win win situation.

I love the idea of the carrots in the baskets. They`re too high up for carrot fly so they should do well. Ted`s corner is really looking good. :o)
