Tulips are finally showing their colours, really pleased with these, as they are a much deeper shade than expected from a basic Garden Triumph Mixed bag.

This Pieris bush has been around for over five years but it’s my go to guy for every month of the year. The poor thing is only in a pot, hardly gets watered, but gets moved around whenever there is a gap needing filled or other plants needing propped up etc. I love it at this time of year when the pink begins to show.

Seeing as how we’re not having visitors (we rarely do anyway) the porch has become a seedling area (as well as the kitchen windowsill).
I’ve never had so many seeds at one time, as I would normally be buying plants but is is certainly nice and time consuming and it will be wonderful if I can see these right the way through to flowering. I have a mix of Salvia Victoria Blue, Sunflowers and Cornflowers, Rudbeckia and today started some Cosmos.

Really vivid colour on your tulips, standing proud too. Pores looks really healthy and flourishing well. Iā€™m hoping when I sow my seeds on Saturday, I have results like you!

Brilliant idea to have a moveable space filler, and such a pretty one too!
Aren't the tulips early? They started too soon and now the pots planned for early May are in full flower now.
Your garden should be a picture with all those flower seedlings you have

I like that idea Thrupennybit - plants are perfect friends!

Good luck with your seeds Kate123.

Yes Steragram, the pack said April to May but I've noticed for a few years now that Tulips are flowering early. I think we may have some gaps in the flowering seasons due to everything being early, late or simply not available, which is why I'm keeping fingers crossed for seeds developing well.

The seedlings are looking strong and healthy.
I have tulips that naturally flower in late Feb and then different species and varieties keeps them going through to May. They are such a good plant.
