Have been thinking of a small pond for a bit, and my boys came home with tadpoles and small fishes yesterday. So am in search of things to use for a pond…

I never regretted digging my fish pond over 15 years ago so go for it, But it does need some planning as there are a few things you have to do to successfully keep fish, 3 of these are - to over winter fish a pond has to be at least 3 feet deep in the middle, and you will need oxygenating plants Also tap water has to stand in the pond for 4-5 days before fish can be added.

Its still in the works... My plan for a small pond is slowly getting bigger! Water plants are in pots and the tadpoles have grown into frogs and moved on. Think I will spend some time laying it out and maybe wait until next year to add fishes. Thank you for your insights ;O)
