Where Have I been

I had a lovely message from Scotsgran the other day asking where I was I realised it had been so long since I had written a blog. I have been busy with my studies and was about to take my final exam and submit my final design piece of work at the end of March when we had an awful shock and everything came to a juddering holt. My sister-in law was diagnosed with cancer and had treatment, all went well and she was given the all clear in January. Then at the end of March she was feeling unwell she was told the cancer was back and it was terminal on the 1st April. We flew out to her home in Fuerteventura on the 12th April sadly she passed away on the 14th. The last two weeks of her life were a real battle. In that week we lost three more members of our family to cancer.

As you can imagine it has been a very hard time for the family and it’s taken some time to get over but we are getting there. Some days are better than others we have the last funeral on the 14th May.

It’s been a long few weeks and life goes on I have taken my exams and heard yesterday I passed with flying colours. Things seem to be looking up and now I need to put my energy into transforming my garden into a flower and veg filled oasis for the summer, somewhere to relax and enjoy life.

So that is where I have been. I’m sorry I haven’t visited very often but I hope to put that right now I have the time. and I promis a cheerful blog very soon.
