Busy Busy Busy But Not In The Garden

I’m sorry I have not been more active on GoY for the last few weeks. I hope you will forgive me but it has been manic in our house for the past month. I have been on baby sitting duty and have had no time to spend in the garden in fact it’s been quite neglected :0(

I hang my head in shame

The veg plot is a wonderful riot of weeds and the flowerbed is in need of a tidy up. All in all this summer has been a bit of a right off as far as the gardening has gone I had great intentions but events took over so now it’s down to some hard work in September.

Plans gone down the drain

We had plans to move house this year and have been bust sprucing up the inside of the house but with the housing market not so good we have decided to stay put for a couple more years. We had found the perfect bungalow but when it came down to it, our valuation was a bit to low to get rid of the mortgage completely so here we are staying put. So my garden is going to get a bit of a revamp over the next few months. I am going to “thin out” the long border there is far too much in their and it’s all growing into each other things are getting swamped so I am going to pick out the best plants be ruthless and the rest will go….. to a different spot you didn’t think I was going to get rid of them completely did you ?

On a good note

My pots have been lovely and colourful until we had some very hot days and I did not get to water them …sorry plants. However, my hanging baskets are still full of colour and are a glorious sight out of the kitchen window.
