Lotus hirsutus is a small glaucus leaved shrub. I grew from seed flowered in June. The white flowers are clover-like with a touch of pink.

And now August producing masses of seed in pods which are “polished” brown, quite decorative.

I do like this shrub.

What a versatile plant Siris...the seeds look like hazel nuts.

Might be one of those woody stem plants that get leggy and dont like to be cut back into the old wood. Will see, its getting a trim after its finished its display.

Agree, it’s very versatile. Let’s know how it likes the pruning session.

It's a pretty little thing but I u never have guessed it was a lotus. I always imagined them to be something like a water lily - how wrong can you get???
