Purple - The camera never lies - fibs!

I usually take snaps with my digital camera, but have found unless I change the settings it does not record purple too well, so here are some purples I took with my tablet.
The purply plicata Iris is “Stepping Out”

Some purple Pansies, edging the semi-circular Iris border. Took me 3 attempts to get photos I believed were true to colour.

When I was at Junior School in 1936 our teacher had a purple hat for the Coronation of King George V1 and
Queen Elizabeth.
It was just these lovely 'Royal Purples.'
I was 8.
Remember it well.

lovely flowers but sadly I'm blue/purple colour blind. they are all just different /shades tones of the same colour. the weird thing is I like the colour and have lots in the garden.
I also find cameras aren't that good at colour rendition. in my cameras case its the reds.

Hope it brought back pleasant memories Dianebulley

Thats interesting, Seaburngirl, colour is then in the eye of the beholder, thought it was usually men, just red/green.

I love those purples, Siris; worth taking the bother with your tablet.

It's actually quicker, providing you don' t drop it.

My colour deficiency is a point mutation when my retina was developing apparently. I wont/cant pass it onto my children.
Red/green is a genetic thing and is more common in men than women due to the gene being on the X chromosome. There are many different forms of colour blindness apparently.

So yes in the eye of the beholder :o)
