Colourful leaves . . .

. . . at the end of October. I thought I’d take advantage of a few moments of sunshine, in case it didn’t last. This is the Judas tree, Cercis siliquastrum, in the front garden.

Now into the back, Field Maple

Cornus Eddie’s White Wonder

Parrotia persica, positively glowing, and luckily still only 2’ 6" !

Spiraea ‘Goldflame’

Amelanchier as a shrub (3’)

Viburnum opulus – look Lincslass, it survived :)

Loropetalum

Cotinus

Apples keep coming (more crumble tonight, lol)

Acer ‘Bloodgood’

Keep warm everyone :))

You have some great colour there Sheila, I do like the colour of the Judas, mustn't be tempted though as I really haven't got any room for another tree, my Amelanchier is completely bare of leaves now, the colour didn't last very long at all compared to other years but guess the sudden drop in temperature caused that, went from the sublime to the ridiculous but that's Mother Nature for you..I still haven't attacked my Viburnams with the loppers but only because I haven't any room in my bins, watch this space in the next couple of weeks though....

Autumn is so beautiful and the colours in your garden are just brilliant. No need for a bonfire or fireworks where you are! So lovely Sheila.

A spectacular show Sheila. You have all the best trees. I envy your apple tree. I love them sliced up in my oatmeal with brown sugar.

Wonderful collection of Autumn colours. Certainly as nice as summer flowers. Aren't we lucky to get both in the areas in which we live? I wouldn't want to live in a treeless zone, in a wind swept island for eg.
