Sunny Hallowe'en!

Just couldn’t resist taking a few more “reds” in bright sunshine today . . . in spite of the fact that I know you’ve seen it all before (yawn)!
Acer griseum (top)

Acer griseum (middle)

Acer griseum (lower)

Prunus Tai haku

Copper beech

Cotinus

Hope you have sunshine too. For now, that’s all folks, and have a happy Hallowe’en :))

Happy Halloween Sheila, glowing in the sunshine and not yawning yet, lol....

Im not yawning either. I always enjoy your pics. sheila. Acer griseum is my favourite tree. I have considered one for this garden, but its not ideal...so windy and they are very slow growers. I shall continue to admire yours and Dawn's! On the subject of favourite trees though...It was the first time since planting them, that I noticed my Silver Birches from in the house today. The leaves turning butter yellow. I have three planted a foot apart for a multi-stemmed effect. I shall enjoy watching them develop. :)

Thank you Sue!

Thanks very much Karen. I don't remember this tree putting on such a display before . . . we've had it for about five years, and it's in a sheltered spot (I had no idea it would grow so tall!). Silver birches are gorgeous too :)

Beautiful Sheila, we share our love of trees. Your garden is looking great. Love trees. The leaves on our Acer griseum are soooo red at the moment. Karen, luckily ours is in a sheltered spot, its been planted a few years now and hasnt grown alot.
Whooo ordered my Christmas presents from Bluebell Arboretum - Betula albosinensis 'Chinese Ruby' and Prunus serrula 'Princess Sturdza' - so exciting.
If ever you travel this far down Karen, I will take you to Bluebell.

You're so right Sue, and this year the trees are even being enhanced by blue skies and sunshine . . lucky us!

Yes, indeed. I've just had a beautiful walk with doggies. It was so quiet and peaceful and no coat needed. I could see for miles...Bliss!

Long may it last, Karen. And OH had to sit in the SHADE this morning, as the sun was so hot during a game of croquet! I'm prepared to like November if it's going to be like this . . .

More fabulous photos!

This late warmth and sunshine is so lovely but will it soon be over?!!

You have lots of autumnal interest in your garden Sheila. So colorful. Seems like all these trees were planted with autumn in mind. Beautiful. And the blue sunny sky is making them look happy.

Thanks Chris - good that we all enjoyed it while it lasted . . .

Thank you Klahanie: I think we have just been lucky this year with exceptional colours, and the leaves not falling too soon. Blue sunny sky makes me look happy too! :))
