Weekend

Well had a busy weekend, Saturday was glorious here no wind!!! lovely and warm, got the grass cut at last and hubby cut the hedge (his least favourite job of all) The Peony is showing more colour hope it will be out soon, they don’t last long though. Am disappointed with the Aliums this year don’t know if this always happens but last year (first year) they were stunning this year the flowers are small, maybe i ought to feed them this year?

The woodland Geranium is open and looking good this year, the little lavender (Little ladies) that i bought a few weeks ago is in bud

The self seeded Aquelegias are a delight this year i have never had such wonderful flowers!! maybe MY compost was a help!!

My Barbara Dibley Clematis has now more flowers on, looking good, next year should be even better (tut not got far into this year and already looking forward to next!!!)

I am waiting on an order for Chocolate Cosmos (bet David has that one!!) i planted out my cosmos and some Lupins and Hollyhocks all in the little border near my picture window am hoping i’ll be able to see them when i’m sat having a cuppa!!

Chocolate Cosmos is on my 'replacement' list - it didn't survive the winter. :-( I knew it needed protection, and did, but no luck - just too cold for it.

Lovely photos - thanks!

Your clematis is looking wonderful considering you only planted it a few weeks ago. It looks so pretty with the Bellis. Must be very happy in your new arch. Lost my chocolate cosmos this year too.
