Garden Centre

As my back is feeling better (though not 100%) i decided to take a trip to the garden centre, just for a gentle stroll round you understand, didn’t want anything….ahem! The car park was full when i got there but as its quite a large garden centre it didn’t seem at all busy, the plants were looking wonderful some of the trees and clematis were in flower, lots of pretty tubs with flowers in them a poly tunnel bursting to the seams with annuals from fuschias to geraniums oh too many to mention, i held on to my purse with both hands LOL
So after saying i didn’t want anything i cam out with 3 plants which i thought was pretty reserved of me, i could have spent a fortune!

there is a black eyed susan which i used to grow from seed but saw this and couldn’t resist thought i could put it to grow up the archway as the rose will be no good this year although it has taken as its sending out new leaves. The Geranium was such a pretty vibrant pink that i couldn’t resist, and the Lavender is to replace one i lost, its called Lavender Augustfolia ‘Little Lady’, Compact it says!
On the way home i had to stop and take photos of the Prunus trees, Scunthorpe is known as the ‘Garden Town’ and hats off to our council because the gardens and road sides in certain parts are absolutley beautiful, there are a lot of cherry blossom trees round here and this time of year are a picture, i then took a 2 minute trip to the local park and took one of two white blossom trees not sure what they are but everywhere looked pristine. It may be a steeltown but the verges and roundabouts etc., look wonderful.
