pots

Well Jacque i made a start with the newspaper pots! didn’t do many as i havent anything to plant in them yet but wanted to give it a go, used a smaller tin than the beans one and they work well, i also saw a tip in todays newspaper you can also use the inside of toilet rolls and kitchen rolls etc., but when you plant them you must break them up a bit!!! what and squash the plants inside them?? think the newspaper ones are a better idea not as thick will degrade quicker me thinks.

My amaryllis is still flowering thought i’d include it in this blog, the first flower head is just finishing and the second is open, good value for money aren’t they? it brightens up my day as soon as i walk into the kitchen for my breakfast in the morning there it is smiling at me LOL!! :0)

Been out in the garden for a bit today but the wind was soooooo cold that i gave up! Just tidied round some pots and i did get my little greenhouse out to put in the corner near my lounge window its southfacing so warms up nicely, when hubby (i’ve asked him again today!) fetches some compost i am going to plant some of those seeds its February tomorrow and i want to get them in!!!!
The garden is so wet i can’t do anything much will just have to be patient i am going surfing on the net now to order some plants so i will just have to be content with that, they have forcast snow here tomorrow night (Sunday) could be up to 2 inches, ah well Spring will arrive when its ready!!!!

That's a lovely white primula/primrose, Sewing!

Yes, I did some surfing for some particular plants I want, too, and put in my (scary) orders yesterday. I did my seed and plug-plant orders as well, all on my credit card.

I shall have a fright when I see next month's bill - but I can't wait for my parcels to start arriving!

It is a lovely primrose Sewing.

Don't think about the bill until you have to Spritz. If you forget about it long enough maybe it will never arrive.

That's a beautiful primrose. Signs that spring is on the way. Maybe the weather forecasters are wrong about the snow. They so often are. - well I hope they are this time anyway.
