well the forecasters were spot on!

The local forecaster said we’d get some snow by 7pm today on the top of the Yorkshire Wolds. As my village sits right on the edge before dropping down to the Humber plain I was half expecting it to snow.

7.30 hubby came in from his garage and said the garden was ‘white over’. So flash on the camera shows the snow gently falling.

Now sitting in front of the fire with a mug of hot chocolate.

Lets all stay warm and safe together.

Good luck. I don't think it will lie very long :)

Yes stay warm and safe. There's a light sprinkling on the hill tops here this morning too and the roads look icy. It's very depressing. I prefer rain.

I hope we don't get anymore - a big wish I know.

No extra snow but the shady parts of the garden have a white layer still. The bits in the sun are all green again.

On Tuesday evening we had some snow as well here but I think it was more sleet than snow but even so a little has "survived" in shaded places even today. If there is any still left it will all melt away as we are forecast a max of 10C tomorrow.

We had been forecast -4C for Wednesday night so I tried to give my plants a little more protection. Or the temps didn't fall so low or my protection worked because all the plants that needed it on the balcony are still alive today!

Unfortunately the warm spell is a "one day wonder" as Saturday is forecast to get colder again & Sunday & Monday colder still" 😞😖

Didn't snow after all! But tonight we are forecast 2-3 cm of snow - we'll see! The 1st day of February may not turn out to be snowy but it will be pretty cool all day long with a maximum of 3-4C forecast!

Well we have a light dusting this morning but very heavy grey clouds that look like they could dump quite a bit during the day. It is still very cold here but that is good as it is killing off pests [hopefully]. Lots of birds at the feeders so that is pretty to watch.

That's all we got to, a light dusting! We had a heavier coating of frost the night before! 😀😀😀
