A timely reminder

Autumn is the time to get those spring flowering bulbs in the ground, whilst you are getting stuck into the planting, please spare a thought for already established clumps. It’s so easy to forget where they are, particularly if you are like me and forget to mark them!
I noticed this wee clump of emerging snowdrops this afternoon. We had a bit of a close shave as you can see. Luckily I spotted them before I managed the complete slice and dice!
I can’t say I’ve noticed them above the surface quite so early before. Has anyone else noticed the same?

I've did the exact same thing on many occassions Stera. I tell myself each time I do it that I must mark them in springtime but always forget!

Time you sent her out to work I think! That's the downside of planters isn't it? But it will all look lovely in the Spring even it you can't eat any of it. She is lucky she has someone to do all the donkey work - A lot of us (me included) do our own compost shifting!OH would have to ask which way up the planters should go...

I've just dug up some bulbs (not sure what) while planting wallflowers :( Now replaced so hoping for the best.

My new tulips arrived last Saturday so I nipped out and planted them almost immediately, a job that should have taken approx 15mins took nearly an hour as like most of you I was accidentally unearthing and having to replant as I went along, lol....
