I am alive, curious, friendly and learning...
My garden is too... I live on an estate and the beautiful garden here at Lilliybatch Cottage - falls into the trees and lakes of the estate. There is enormous potential here and I have just enlisted the help of a local gardener because there is so much to do.
So this is why I joined this site... to share, to learn... to become wiser about my garden and the surrounding area. Last year, nettle soup entered my world... this year, I want to create an inventory of all the plants and their needs and uses and really build a relationship with the plant, insect and animal beings surrounding me.
It is a sanctuary here... love everywhere... quite beautiful and healing... it seems to seep everything up, nurture it and spit it out as new life..
I also want to become as independent as possible here and live off the land, utilize the water and sot using energy unnecessarily. The landlords here seem to be very bent on keeping the landscape unspoilt and using it to the best it can be...
The only gripe I have here is the killing that goes on for sport. It doesn't infringe much - but I don't kill unless I have to - which I don't.. so I can become quite introspective on days when there are shoots.
