lovely pics janey, we had freezing fog to last couple of days and white trees which i could only describe as frozen in time, i was in awe at their beauty :o)

what a touching story joan, i really felt for you, so glad you found what you wanted and the privet will be a lasting reminder, a shame your dad didnt keep in touch especially not having any children after you, my brother finally traced my dads father who we all never knew even my dad, but sadly he`s gone and his wife, but brother found out there is a step son so hopefully my brother will get contact so we can find out more about george my real grandad.hope your privet grows for many years joan :o))

poor you holly just icy fog here and that much frost it looks like snow, very beautifull as i drove out of the village today and all the trees were pure white with dark bark, was like the trees were frozen in time :o)

sorry late here carole, oh my god,, your so use to not having your pond it slipped your mind,, glad your ok and not an ice maiden lol, and at least its not over deep, maybe a flag in the ground would be a good idea for future winters, then you would know where the pond is, glad all was ok :o))
