they are fabulous birds, there call is hupoepoepeopoe....hence the name.

We are lucky enough to have a cple flying around the house at the moment, but not sure where they are nesting, one was sitting on the shutters on my bedroomwindows and the whole house was fairly booming with the sound.

Had to come here to find out. Hospitals are nobodys favourite places, but how lucky we are to still have a National Health Service. I'm so glad your feeling better Sandra and what a beautiful pic too...soon be summer:-)

Wow, this is great San.....it reminds me of the weeny one we had in Spain......yours is much bigger though, the same urn where the water flowed out, bees would gather all round for a drink and it did bring loads of wild life to the garden then, like you we had cobbles round, which we'd gathered from the local stony beach. Did you see GW last night, Monty Don was busy with all his pond plants, telling you what to use etc. Looking forward to seeing more pics in the summer....:)) (if we get one!)

Very nice )))

Hi Sandra, nothing much to write home about today I am afraid! I am off to a smaller family centre next week so may be more successful there.
Yes our fish seem to breed - we are intrigued as to what happens to the older ones! Some do die of course, occasionally we can recognise them.
I would quite like a wildlife pond without goldfish cos they eat the frogspawn and toad spawn of course. But OH likes his goldfish. When we moved to this house, the removal men helped to catch the fish from the old pond!

Keep up the good work x

How exciting Sandra, I'm dying to see how you plant it up. I didn't know you'd been poorly, but glad you're on the mend:-))

Hi Sandra, the pond is great! I wish I lived nearer cos we have so many goldfish we could have given you some! I am sure it will look very pretty when the plants get going.
We have just got our pond pump and waterfall going again, so OH is pleased.(We have a friendly electrician who helps us out)
We have two kinds of lilies but not many marginal plants - I am going to a garden centre tomorrow so may look for something.
Take care and dont overdo things until you are fully fit.

There's a posh pond, I love the pot.
Hope you feeling better San x

I love the colours of this too, very attractive.
