Good to see you back, Sanbaz, and you have my heartfelt sympathy for your sad losses. We recently lost our younger son, so I know how hard it is. Your garden is looking lovely, and hopefully it is bringing some comfort to you, and that you’re finding painting therapeutic too.

It is my favourite white rose.

You have created a beautiful garden which has a real sense of peace.

I am sorry to read about the sad things that have recently happened but feel sure that the lovely garden you have created will help and comfort you.

Looking forward to seeing your paintings too.

Actually its not, Netterklaus, its Darmera peltata with a t in the middle, not a d - and spelling mistakes and typos occur, clearly, since you just made one yourself, but so long as we know what people mean, we don't worry about it too much, and you shouldn't either, even though you made one yourself....

Oh Man! If you already put a question to the forum, then you have the names already write properly! The correct name of the plant is: DARMERA
PELDATA !! ?

that's splendid, but not for the average garden!

Sandra, I have just come across this photo, what a fabulous colour combination.

I see this was a year ago has anyone heard from her?

Sorry to hear the news about your brother Sandra it is at times like these you will all need to keep positive. Thinking of you and your family. Take care and I love the pictures of your garden it is looking so very colourful..

that's a lovely little feature; I cam see a nozzle in the cetnre, so I suppose it's been turned off for the winter. is it solar, or plumbed-in leccy?

Yes, just about half way up from the bottom. By sept, they will have re sprouted new leaves, but it does look effective for a few months.

On photo - black bamboo

Yes, I do that every spring with mine too.

San! how is the black bamboo doing now Hun? I had one I. My old garden but tbh it didn't do so well. My yellow ones here have been in the soil for two years now and so far so good.

I love this cascading effect...very pretty display. I am thinking of doing something similar with lobelia but this plant looks like it will fill out more so I might chose this instead.

They are amazing spiders aren't they San, but that looks awful for the poor creature firmly wrapped...:((. Reading Gees comment, I did the same thing the other day, spider was just about to wrap up a tortoiseshell butterfly, I managed to get it free and popped it on a Buddleia which it had been enjoying before. Poor creature I'm not sure if it survived later on not....:((

Mmmmmm making me feel peckish .... not ....great pic though Sandra:-))

These are prolific in my garden. A bit understated, unlike most geraniums.

That made me smile Cammomile. I've only just started to ride for exercise again and do about 2 and a half kilometres. The legs feel as though they are going to drop off after that at the moment. Perhaps that what happened to the spider as he only had seven legs. LOL.

My husband is very proud of the fact that he has a huge spider in his man shed. I am sure he lets them alone so that I won't go in there. Still thats' where the lawn mower is so why should I worry!

Great pic, glad I'm not that fly :-)

Best place for them, hate those big ones you get indoors :))

When I sit upon the web
I spin a fine old thread
about the flies that I have caught
and eaten before bed.
Great picture Sandra, I was in the garage have a cycle on our exercise bike and an enormous spider crept up the wall beside me and went into the web of a small bodied spider with very long legs. The spider came to see what was in his web and ran away. The huge spider cleaned himself off and climbed down the wall again.

Amazing picture San - He must be saying - here's one I prepared earlier!!
