Beautiful cockerel San, love how you've done his tail feathers, I agree with Linda, they are getting better and better! Well done you!

CHickens are lovely to keep and in the winter I used to let my few into the veg plot and they scratched all the soil up and cleaned it from seeds and insects. We had two cats then Sandra but they wouldn't go near the hens with the cockerel protecting them.

Great painting, Sandra! In the thumbnail I thought it looked like a different flower till I opened it! You have done very well! :-)) We have tons of them down on the allotment! (Well, 100s, anyway!).
So pleased for you getting a solo exhibition of your painting at your local library & for two weeks at that! Marvellous! You must be as pleased as Punch! LOL!

Love it Sandra. We used to have a colourful cockerel with a colourful tail and he was a big lad. He used to lead out all the hens in the morning on to the land. He tolerated me but hated Gerry.

Love this story Karen. My grandad let me help him with the garden and he taught me quite a lot about growing plants and looking after them. I remember carrying the watercan to the tap and it was almost as big as me at one time LOL

Agree with Linda. Made me think of my friend in Miami. She and I used to 'grow' sunflowers on her Dad's allotment garden. We used to pick the seeds and plant them...her Dad couldn't understand where they came from lol...he knew fine really, but played along with us!
