I am sorry, but I don’t think I made it very clear about my photos!
I meant that my chrome book files had disappeared and couldn’t get photos to get in from my camera.
So I was panicking because all my photos are in my chrome book gallery going right back to Willow Cottage.
I eventually got it sorted as I had put the question online and all I had to do was switch the chrome book off totally, do an update and it all came back! Phew!
Thank you once again!

That's a relief then. I didn't/don't understand the difference so just pleased it is all ok.

Thats a relief Rose, most of mine taken in the garden are taken on my mobile, it is synced to Google Images,so I cannot lose them, when using my camera those ones I upload to my picture files, I hate it if something goes wrong and I cannot find them, I'm not e tecci person as you know so YES !!! I too panic...

Thanks Sue! I take photos on my mobile as well as my camera! But only just started doing this the last couple of years.
Mine are synced to Google Drive and couldn't understand what had happened, but are back now!
Panic over!
