Daffodils

When I had a walk around our village today I noticed this view and took a picture, as it reminded me of some of the words in William Wordsworth poem of “Daffodils”. there is no lake just a brook but I was inspired all the same! :-

“Daffodils” (1804)

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze….

It's a great poem - I suspect that many of us learned it at school! No wonder you were reminded of it, seeing the lovely daffodils. :-))
