RHS Show Cardiff

Hello folks, long time no speak! Its nice to be back. I thought I would share with you some pics I took yesterday at the second day of the above show. We had a few showers but not many (today, Sunday, was probably worse!) Anyway, I will just up load the pics which will be very familiar to most of you.

First of all a couple of bonsai trees from the Cardiff Bonsai Club.

Then the “ladies” who entertain us every year

A couple of prizewinning gardens:

Then my friend’s 14 year old bonsai fuchsia, Baby Chang, on our Cardiff Fuchsia Society stand:

Finally, a collection of displays from the Floral Marquees:

I hope you enjoyed these – were any of you there?

Sorry I wasn't there, it looks just fabulous, I particularly like that first garden with the slate walls. I also really liked those mini hostas and the bonsais.

I liked it all. But I did like the first show garden and the alpine troughs were good too.

Enjoyable looking through your photos. I love the alpine gardens in their sinks ... always planned to do that in a big Victorian belfast (or butler's) china sink that I have toted around the world with me for many years .... it's still lanquishing in the garage! Also really liked the blue colour on the wooden fence in the third pic down. Looks like you had a good day. Thankyou for sharing.

Yes thanks for sharing the pics, love the Bonsia especially your friends 14 year old fushia, would love to know where to buy a "baby Chang" and try one myself.

My first show to visit is always the Malvern Spring Show, but next year I may kick the start off with the Cardiff show. Great photos.

What a lovely looking show...just the right size I think! I love the way the chrysanths have been displayed...quite 'starry' looking with the contrasting flowers. The bonsai are always a favourite of mine at shows and what about those 'ladies' eh? Don't men just love a chance to 'swap clothes' with us!!

Loved all the photos, esp the cacti and succulents :o) I wish I'd gone to this. I didn't know about it.
Nice to see you again. I've just had a few 'days off' myself lol

Hi All, thanks for your comments, yes it was a good show; not too large. I will ask where to get a Baby Chang, several others asked too. Maybe they are on the internet.
Dwyllis, my first garden was a sink trough when I was four. They really do make a lovely alpine feature and look great on patios and balconies.
Hywel, try to make it next year!

I bought two wrought iron obelisks - will show them off when they are planted up.

What a lovely show, liked all your photos, I would love to know how do they get sarracenia to grow so straight, mine never look like that.
