whats wrong with my soil?

everything is growing well above ground lots of greenery,and tiny little onions/carrots etc below? have checked ph said fine.Does anyone know whats wrong.
nothing been grown there before only grass.has been manured.

I grew carrots for the first time last year and there did seem to be a lot of greenery on top and nothing below initially. Carrots take about 60 to 90 days to form roots from sowing depending on the variety. You have done everything you need to do so I think its a case of sit back and wait. The carroty smell from home grown is fantastic!

Isn't it a bit early to expect large carrots and onions yet? Ours are only just starting to grow.
