how long before prunus laurocerasus will flourish?

planted 20-30cm laurels, most of them look brownish in colour. Worried they might not take. How long would you wait to determine if they have a chance of growing healthy or contacting firm for refund. Thank you

They shouldn't look brownish at all, it's an evergreen. Scrape some bark off the stems to determine whether it's green underneath - if it is, they'll probably recover
