Can someone tell me what this is, please?

Charente, France Fr

Hi all,

I found this as a small seedling growing out of an old flowerpot last spring. Thinking that it might be a cotoneaster, I planted it against the pergola. Now I'd like to move it - but I don't know what it is, so I don't know where to put it.

There is a main woody stem (which is now suckering) with long (around a metre) arching branches - which I've woven into the pergola. The 'flower' is around 3cms long and 1cm wide.

Thanks in advance for any and all ideas.

It is a willow tree, Karen. If it is suckering I would reconsider keeping it as it could appear all over your garden. I looks to be a pretty vigorous fellow if you only found the seedling last year.

Oh...in that case, I've already reconsidered - I definitely don't have room for him! It must be a baby from the huge willow across the road. Thank you very much, Bulbaholic. :)

How do I say thanks?
