viburnum tinus leaves shotgun effect

East Yorkshire, United Kingdom Gb

Cant remember if the 'shootgun' effect on the leaves of V. tinus is something to worry about. its now 12'x12' and will get a serious trim after flowering. do i need to do anything else to it. dig it out and burn it wouldnt break my heart if i had to.

On plant Viburnum tinus

Sounds like Viburnum beetle larva damage. Pruning and burning the holed growth helps no end as does (yuck!) spraying with a suitable insecticide.
