I have a very patchy lawn after my puppy destroyed it last year. He is now very good, no diggng, but would like to get a nice lawn back. Any ideas without a massive expense of digging it all up and laying turf????

I can't remember who posted something about this but another GoYer suggested that you use trays, even like punnets from veg, fill them with compost and sow grass seed. Let it grow for a while and then you can lay your turf cheapy cheap, rather than buying it in. You can even grow patches to the size you need, plus you don't have the hassle of waiting for seed to grow while the well established grass gets too long.
