My hebe 'heartbreaker'

is starting to go brown and losing its leaves, has never done this before, it looks like its going to die, can any one help as it a a lovely plant.

Try scraping a little bark away just above ground level - if it shows green, the plant is still alive but if it's brown or grey, I'm afraid it's an ex-hebe

if you trim it back gently by nippig of the growing tips it might encourage new growth lower down the plant.
