Hi, is there any difference between asparagus fern foliage
and the foliage coming from asparagus crowns

They are the same family Ken but the edible one is Asparagus officianalis and the fern is usually A. setaceus or A. densiflorus or 'emerald feather' , in fact there are several grown as house plant ornamentals which are not quite as hardy as the delicious one.
