You'll get as many beans as you have pollinated flowers - fewere flowers, fewer beans.

Hi cider welcome to GOY. A lot of gardeners have commented on runner beans being slow this year so don't give up yet, i'm sure you will have some soon, i picked my first ones last week. are you giving them plenty of water?and are they getting polinated ?

Reading a letter in the Radio Times a gardener claiming to have grown runner beans for 50 years states if you plant more seeds now , you will be picking beans next month. I have to try it, !!!!!!!!!!1

I think that is highly unlikely Ian but give it a try and keep us posted.
