Trumpet creeper in a large container? hello i have just brought a Campsis radicans flava, known as the trumpet creeper, i have the ideal situation for this but it would have to be in a large container, i have a very large steel drum, i was wondering would campsis do ok containerised.

They do reasonably well containerized, and that is a good way to keep them from becoming invasive. Remember that in a container, they will need frequent watering, and regular feeding. A food with a high potash content will encourage more bloom than one with a high phosphate content, and don't forget the nitrogen, since they bloom on vigorous new growth.
