There are weedkillers for situations like driveways. I haven't used it, but a product such as "Pathclear" is intended to kill weeds on paths and driveways and stop more from germinating. You have to be careful that it can't run off onto flower beds or other areas where plants you want are growing - and avoid run off into drains as well.

Pathclear does the job very well. You only need to do it twice a year. But, yes, be careful of run-off as B says.
