i bought a rose that was supposed to be purple but it is pink why?

You've either bought a wrongly labelled rose, or they were a bit lavish in the description of the flower colour. Descriptions of colours in roses could be compared to estate agents descriptions of properties...

Many "lavender" or "purple" roses are actually lilac pink or magenta, particularly in chalky soil and warm weather. Laying compost on the soil and watering with a weak (1 tablespoon per gallon) vinegar solution may increase the "purpleness" of the flowers.

also one of my pet hates actualy is people doing a job they dont know how to do . i notice it across the board as im an avid fish keeper and there are fish blatently marked up with the wrong name . personaly i kept looking till i found a garden centre that answers all my questions right . also there must be hundreds of diferent kinds of rose let alone other plants and mistakes cant help but be made .
