Over the last 2 years my Lawn has developed a number (30 ish) over 80 sq yds of darker green patches ( circa 12 in diameter) and the growth here is more vigourous. Does not seem to relate to the female dogs patches which are brown. Have used general purpose lawn feed but this has been spread by a proper dispenser

Without a photo it is difficult to do other than guess as several things can cause this such as:
Fairy rings, uneven mixed grass seed at time of sowing, weeds, and patchy feeding even with a spreader this can happen, conditions of soil and preparation before you laid the lawn, and finally drainage and uneven watering.
A photos of some of the patches would be helpful.
