The Garden Community for Garden Lovers

I don't know how to work this site. I have never been in a chat site before, but I would like to thank everybody who has welcome me, and to answer individual members. How do I do that?

Joined 2 days ago, feeling a bit tense about the following day's visit to the hospital, post hip resurfacing op. Put gardening chat sites on google, clicked on the first one, and what do I see? a little welshie! Just in case it works, am trying to send a pix of my terrier, who roams the
garden.

Welcome Lucie, glad you found us, always lots going on, very imformative, and a good giggle sometimes too, also a great way to store records of what you are upto in the garden. and as Youngdaisydee has said - easy once you get going, anything your unsure of just ask. once you know your way around also very addictive - my advice would be avoid logging on whilst cooking dinner, - when i have done this- dinner ends up burnt! lol

Ha Ha FF. I have a laptop and it makes this site even more addictive. I can sit in my easy chair with my feet up and GOY on my computer. Welcome Lucie. I love your doggie.
I hope you are more relaxed now that your hospital visit is over.
Don't stress over the site. You'll get the hang of it. I usually go to the member's tab at the top first and check on new photos and blogs. :o)

Hi Lucie - welcome to GOY. You don't have to be mad to be here, but it helps! Mad on gardening, I mean, of course!

Don't worry about finding your way round. It will get easier, I promise. I've got a Labrador called Henry - what's your dog and what's his/her name?

Hi Lucie,

I joined in November and am still not entirely certain what I'm doing as far as replying to questions and sending photographs etc. However I have found it to be a very friendly and helpful site and am now completely addicted.
Love your dog, I have a cavalier king charles spaniel called Sophie who I was lucky enough to find at Battersea dog's home nearly 4 years ago.

Hi Lucie, you are very welcome, you have done well, got a photo and a blog on, so that's good.

I seem to be the only one that does not have a dog. I have got a man though, and he is hard work, never got him trained and it is too late to start now.

This is a lovely site, fun and helpful, you can't ask for more.

Anything you want to know, ask, and someone or several will answer

Love Marge.

I don't have a dog or a man, Marge, must say i do miss the dog, mine died Oct 07, we had many good years together especially in the garden, fraid i can't say the same about the man though lol - i do have a 3 1/3 year old little girl - harder work than the 2 combined lol - mind you having said that when it comes to maturity, she definately had one up on her dad when he lived here. he could shame any toddler on the tantrum front, just goes to show they really never do grow up lol

Hi Lucie, I hope your hospital appointment went OK and that you are fine now. Grows on You is a great website, and you get very helpful and friendly answers to any gardening questions you may have. I haven't got round to a blog yet or sending photos - I'm very much a novice as far as digital photography goes but I'm starting a course next week so who knows!
