Help! In spite of using an organic product - Vitax organic RTU 2in1 blackfly are taking over faster than we eradicate them. is there an organic product out there that really works? The soapy water doesn't work and both courgettes and runner beans are infested. Also Thank you to Louise1 for answer re clematis in case you didn't get my response. I haven't quite worked out my way round this site regarding responses to answers!

The only organic control of blackfly that I know of is squishing them.

And you need to be careful not to damage the growing points. No wonder non-organic solutions are so popular.

Soapy water should work, but you need to spray thoroughly and frequently. It only kills the ones it touches, and it has no residual action, so any that you miss can repopulate the plant within a week. Also, use an organic soap, and make it strong enough, usually 1-2 tablespoons per gallon.
