They do sometimes....but are you giving it a feed if its in a pot and not letting it dry out either?
When I got mine it was in a pot but I just assumed that cos its from the Med and its hot and dry that it would be ok if I wasn't so regular with watering...BUT!! I suppose they can't get their roots in deep in a pot can they.
If its in the ground then maybe it was the winter? Long time ago tho.
Prob watering.
