Just some feedback re foxes and holes in garden.
As I expected, the 'hair sox' ended up strewn across the garden. Considering she will sit on the lawn whilst I potter is an indication she is not afraid of me or my space.
The chilli worked a treat however. Only downside is it must be reapplied after every rainfall. I have gone through two kg of chillies and because of the odd missed night of rainfall, my brand new lawn is ruined! Tart that she is!!!
Think the only solution for a small lawn (4x4m) is to put wire over the new turf and allow the grass to be constantly shaggy, as opposed to bowling green manicured. I can cope with that as it attracts lots of bugs.and therefore birds and bats.
Am going to persevere with the chilli, but if the damage gets much worse, will re-turf (another 500 quid!) and wire.
Hope I then don't have to replace my flymo!

Still, Wistful, there is a good side. The fox is keeping the rabbits out of your garden..... ;-)
