Depends which laurel you're talking about - Aucuba japonica berries and leaves won't kill the dog, but will make him vomit, Prunus laurocerasus berries are much more toxic, as is the whole plant. Train your dog not to chew plants - over 50% of plants in gardens are toxic to a degree if ingested.
