I have Bauhinia blakena that is about six foot tall, with a single trunk. A very large bottom branch is very close to the ground. Can I cut it without fear of killing the plant or should a wait a a year or two? I want it to grow taller with a higher trunk.

what a fab tree,i wouldnt dare prune it ,maybe you can google for a few tips.know that RHS Wisley have a good site,they may help
