Hi, it looks like Camassia cusickii is around 60cm tall?

Camassia, but which one is not easy to say. More likely C. cuisickii than esculenta though.

Agreed, looks like Camassia to me, have the other one C, leichtlinii, nice but breif. julien.

One of these days I am going to mark one of the huge clumps of S. esculenta that we have and dig some up to eat. Quamash is its other name.

I would like to thank everyone for identifying my plant and outlining the different varieties. I have looked at it for the 3 Springs we have been here, forgetting about it each year until it reappears. I like it very much, such a compact neat plant. I shall now purchase some more that's for sure. Thanks.
