Plant id please. Anyone know the name of this plant? I'm sure I should know it, and think I had some at my old garden:-0

Well you're a big help Spritz lol:-) It's a little more greeny than in pic but it is rather dainty. I will take another pic when the other flowers open, if they look good that is:-)

It looks like Polemonium, (Jacob's Ladder) to me.

I can see why you say Polemonium, Kassi, but I think that the flowers are too tubular and, do you get other than blues?

It is Polygonium pauciflorum. See it in the national collection of polygoniums. at this site http://www.polemonium.co.uk/pole.html.

By George she's got it...well I think so. My plant seems much more lax in habit and is only short, but apart from that..oh and it's coming into flower now:-)

Try this link it does work http://www.polemonium.co.uk/ They are looking for one named P. brandegeei. This is described on robs plants as a shorter version of P.pauciflorum.

Just looked in on this one too. It is Polemonium pauciflorum. I used to have this in another garden. It even produced the odd seedling around it too.
