Yes, I'd plant now too... semi shade and slightly moist conditions.

And keep it watered during warmer dry spells up to November...

I'd recommend you plant now to allow the plant to establish in the ground. That pot is on the small side...

Yes,things will certainly grow different there.I am from South Africa(Cape Town) and the flora there is fabulous!!!

I'll bet that the flora is fantastic! About a quarter of our best garden plants are from South Africa, though most are from the well west of Cape Town, itself.

All along the Garden Route has glorious flora...in fact all of South Africa has different species indigenous to the areas...like the USA...very big country...and very beautiful!!!!

Can I plant this into the garden now or is it too late...it is in a pot at the moment and has grown somewhat since the pic above.

Yes, you need to get in the ground now... and water if it is warm and dry. Pity you didn't plant back in September when you first asked us all.

It is a little bit late, but its probably better in the ground than out over winter.
