I wondered if anybody could help with our frontage. We have been in the house 4 years now and all we have is box and wild geranium, which looked very pretty at first but is now straggly no matter how much I cut them back.

I would like a little colour all year round to make it more eye appealing. Below is a photo as it is now.

look at some of the dwarf euonymous/ hebes. they will provide different colour all year. is the aspect in full sun? if it has some shade consider ferns. you get a range of greens and different textures.
I'd be tempted to plant dwarfspecies of bulbous plants for a range of flowers through the year. eg snowdrops/crocus/narcissi [lots of dwarf ones that flower from Feb through to may if you get the right varieties.] there are tulips etc.
welcome to GoY too
