I have had purple alliums for several years now, but this year, I have one that is starting to bloom a small yellow flower. Have I done something wrong?

Could be that a small yellow allium seed was in the alliums you planted?

If it smells garlicky, like the others, it is probably Allium moly. Where did you get the bulbs from, Grandmalinda? Is it possible that it was a bag of mixed Alliums?
