Help!! I stupidly sprinkled olbas oil on my hosta leaves (not on the teabag next to it), have I killed it and what can I do to resuscitate it?

Answers

Spray the hostas with a 50/50 solution of dish washing soap and water. Then do it a 2nd time. Then rinse completely with water.

OK, I have to ask... What were you doing to sprinkle olbas oil on a hosta?

A tea bag is a relatively small target. A little sprinkle on hosta wouldn't kill the whole plant. How big and or how old was your hosta?

Urbanite,I think it was meant to be put on the used tea bag, then placed next to the Hosta.,to deter nasties with the smell..Cats don't like it either..unless he was going to sniff it himself,to clear his head :o)..I used to do a similar thing with Jeyes fluid..no,not sniff it,place round the plants Lol

That's a relief, Bloomer!

Joking apart, Olbas Oil sounds like a pretty good deterrent.
