Fig Tree Advice Please:
I have a fig tree in a large pot. It's 5ft tall. It looks nice and healthy. It's in a reasonably sheltered spot and has just started lovely new leaves. Can I cut out the top new leaves to make it more bushy? Or would that not be the correct thing to do? Thanks for reading this.

Hi, no I wouldn't prune it, it will bush out on it's own, this is pruning group 1, which is just to remove any dead or crossing shoots, to keep a healthy framework, and should be carried out in late winter or early spring, while the plant is dormant, Derek.

Thank you Derek. I will leave well enough alone then.
