If pure moss your lawnmower will become rusty from not being used!! Is that a disadvantage? The other disadvantage is that moss is not a tough as grassand will show more signs of regular use from human feet, pets and children. Otherwise go for it; all of the above would be advantages for me.

GQT on R4 went to a moss garden last week if you go on the website you'll find the episode and a link to the garden, the owners were extremly knowledgable......like Bulba they warn of wear and tear

I have a small lawn shaded by a wall that has moss creeping towards the path that seperates it from the other lawn, my Heuchera collection do well in the border.As you say Bulbaholic its green and l wondered if it was worth "stressing" over and treating it, as l'm looking for less work as l get older, and although l love mowing at the minute there WILL come a time........
