Name that plant!! The first is a campanula which is 6 feet tall and the second some type of perennial digitalis with insignificant orangy/brown flowers.

Campanula could well be C. lactiflora Loddon Anna, but may be a bit pale for that.
The digitalis is Digitalis ferruginea or possibly D. obscura.

Thank you so much, how knowledgeable you are, I just wouldn't know where to start looking for the names. The pink of the campanula clashes horribly with the delphiniums next to it but I can't bring myself to get rid of it. Perhaps I shall move it if I can get the root out - it's very woody and well established.

The Digitalis is ferruginea, rather than obscura btw....

I thought it was ferruginea, but it is much darker than the ones which pop up in our garden.

The flowers are very small, rather fingernail size. I don't know whether to keep it or not because I like colour. I hate getting rid of plants.

Advantage of a big garden, you can leave less showy plants in.

How do I say thanks?
