Usually an easy plant to keep going. If it's hot and dry where you are in US it needs to have its feet in something good, plus maybe some gravel or pebbles around it. There is a lady gardener here grows them in her dry garden, which is never watered. They are self seeded in gravel. I keep the water going on planted seedlings till they don't hang their heads in hot sun, if we have any, Then ease off when they are happy.
